Rough Terrain Cranes

Rough terrain cranes are mounted on an undercarriage with four rubber tires designed for pick-and-carry operations and for off-road and “rough terrain” applications. Outriggers are used to level and stabilize the crane for hoisting.

Polar Crane offers rough terrain cranes that boast three steering modes with a compact and rugged design. They feature boom telescoping, even under load, with a comfortable and ergonomic cab featuring intuitive and easy controls. These characteristics make our rough terrain cranes versatile, easy to use and ready to work for long hours, while minimizing the fatigue of the operator. Our rough terrain crane lifting capacities range from 30 tons up to 130 tons.

The power-shift transmission, with six speeds forward and rearward, and the four wheel drives, allows our rough terrain cranes to reach the work site, even on very difficult terrains. Rough terrain crane features include:

  • High-strength steels tested to withstand extreme temperatures
  • Rugged axles and machine superstructures to withstand mud, snow and similar challenging environments
  • Engine power and high-traction efficiency provide excellent grade ability
  • All cabs are fitted with heating and air conditioning to provide outstanding operator comfort
